Exciting news. Assembly of the tuck cases started this week.
As the tucks are premium, they're shipped flat, so need to be glued and filled with your Queen Bee decks at our Kentucky facility. This process began this week when the tucks arrived with us on Monday.
They need to be inspected, glued, dried, filled with cards and sealed before we can dispatch them to you.
We've roped in new, temporary staff to speed up this process and get you your decks ASAP.
Based on current progress it's looking like we'll be ready to start shipping your orders at the end of this month. YAY! :)

We also have 250 Limited Edition Gold Tuck Queen Bees that weren't sold via KS. If you wanted more of these decks, or you missed your chance the first time, you'll need to hurry - they won't last long.

Now for the unfortunate news...
We feel it's best to be transparent about these things, so we're letting you know asap.
Sadly, after speaking with our print-house for the tucks, they are restricted by COVID-19 delays and safe staffing guidelines. This has pushed their timeline back by two weeks, which means the earliest they would arrive with us would be the 23rd of December at the earliest.
We offered to pay extra to speed-up the printing process, but they don't have the capacity. If any of us have faced a problem this year and we were asked to explain it with one word, chances are we'd all have the same answer... CORONAVIRUS.
For all of those that backed reward tiers that were estimated to ship in December, we, unfortunately, won't meet that estimate.
To match our vision of producing the best quality, we have created Queen Bees with tucks that aren't 'standard' from Cartamundi. This increase in quality has created an unexpected increase in lead times. We apologize for any inconvenience.
You will get your decks, we're committed to that - it just may be a little while longer. Your support has been incredible and we appreciate your patience.
The silver lining...
Every cloud has a silver lining and because of the delay, it now allows ALL backers to take advantage of stretch goal items (arriving in January) without paying extra shipping charges. Everything can now ship together.
This means, if you missed out on Super Bees, Killer Bees or wanted to add some awesome stretch goals to your order, now you can, WITHOUT having to pay two separate shipping charges.

Thanks to your support, we've successfully funded the Queen Bee Luxury Playing Cards.
Next steps...
Next week we'll be sending out 'surveys' for all those who backed rewards that are due to ship in December. These surveys will ask for your shipping address to ensure your package arrives with you correctly and safely. :)
For other backers, your surveys will be sent out in early January - based on current estimates on Killer & Super Bees shipments. We'll keep you updated often, so you know exactly what to expect.
How to buy stretch goal items + extra decks
We're going to use Backerkit as our pledge manager. They have the ability to set-up a pre-order store that we'll be launching early next week (we'll post another update as soon as it's ready). On that store you'll be able to get our custom Water Bottles, Enamel Pins, T-shirts and organic Queen Bee Honey.
Limited Edition Gold Tuck Queen Bees
We've had so many messages and comments from backers looking to get their hands on this version of the deck.
We have about 250 of these (from the 1,000 being made) remaining. They will be available to backers only in the pre-order store, so if you wanted one, you'll need to be quick, as we expect they'll be the first item to sell out.

We were hoping for a 'production' photo from our print house, but before the campaign ends, that doesn't look possible.
In the interest of transparency, we wanted to reveal this stunning artwork to you, even if it is just a mock-up.
Above is an exclusive first look at the artwork, so you know what to expect. Everywhere you see gold on the tuck box will be gold foil.
This reward tier will be absolutely stunning... and will be fully limited to 1,000 decks only. Exclusive to Kickstarter backers.
They will never be resold on our main Ellusionist.com site.

Fully funded in less than a day...
Without your help, this wouldn't be happening, so we just wanted to say a heartfelt thank you.
There's no expense spared on this deck. We're getting an expert print house to make the tucks, instead of the usual playing card manufacturer, to up the quality.
Sturdy custom brick and half brick boxes will be made in the USA to add gravitas to your overall unboxing experience.
Our vision for Queen Bees was to work harder than ever before to deliver on quality. Even the sample decks we shot the Kickstarter trailer with, were incredible.
We can't wait for you to get them in your hands.
